About OpenIPO

What OpenIPO Is
OpenIPO is an independent, free-to-use website that tracks Initial Public Offerings in India. We cover both Mainboard IPOs listing on the NSE and BSE and SME IPOs listing on the NSE Emerge and BSE SME platforms.
For every issue we publish the price band, lot size, issue size, opening and closing dates, the reservation split between QIB, NII and retail investors, day-wise subscription figures, allotment and listing dates, registrar details, and the company's financials and peer comparison as disclosed in its offer documents.
Who Runs This Site
OpenIPO is built and maintained by a small independent team of retail investors and developers based in India. We are not affiliated with SEBI, the NSE, the BSE, any merchant banker, registrar, or stockbroker. We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst, and we do not accept payment from companies to feature or promote their IPOs.
The site is funded by advertising and by affiliate links to broker account-opening pages. Those links never change what we publish about an IPO, and we mark them where they appear.
Where Our Data Comes From
Every figure on this site is traceable to a primary source. Our sources are:
- Offer documents (DRHP, RHP and the prospectus) filed with SEBI — for the price band, lot size, issue size, objects of the issue, reservation split, financials and peer group.
- NSE and BSE issue portals — for day-wise and category-wise subscription figures and listing details.
- Registrars such as Link Intime, KFin Technologies, Bigshare Services and MUFG Intime — for allotment status and basis-of-allotment documents.
- Company filings and exchange announcements — for anchor investor allocations and any revisions to the issue schedule.
Grey Market Premium (GMP) is the one exception. GMP is not an official figure — no exchange, regulator or registrar publishes it. The numbers we show are indicative rates reported by grey market dealers, and they can change several times a day. We publish GMP because readers look for it, but we treat it as market chatter, not data. Read our disclaimer before acting on it.
How We Keep It Accurate
IPO data moves fast, so we work to a few rules:
- Subscription and GMP figures are refreshed through the day while an issue is open, and each page shows when it was last updated.
- Where two sources disagree, we prefer the exchange or the prospectus over aggregator sites, and we would rather leave a field blank than publish a guess.
- Figures that are still provisional — such as subscription numbers before the exchange's final consolidated count — are shown as reported and corrected once the final numbers are out.
- When we get something wrong, we fix the page rather than quietly deleting it.
Despite this, mistakes happen and exchange data can itself be revised. Always verify against the prospectus and the exchange website before you invest.
What We Do Not Do
We do not give buy or sell recommendations, we do not predict listing gains, and we do not accept applications or handle money. You cannot apply for an IPO through OpenIPO — IPO bids can only be placed through a SEBI-registered broker or your bank's UPI-ASBA facility. Nothing on this site is investment advice.
